Super Tuesday Plea

Conservatives unite! This is your clarion call! The objective is not for the remaining presidential hopefuls to continue to play rock em sock em robots with each other. Let's look at this realistically beginning with the candidate that has a worse chance than an ice cube in hell of winning the nomination, point out some favorable traits and some detrimental ones and make our way up the food chain, beginning with Ron Paul-

  • Ron Paul is a nice old man; He has fathered a smart politician for a son who has a bright political future; He is responsible for safely delivering thousands of newborns into the world; He defines the term "Constitutionalist" to a fault; He is whip smart when it comes to Constitutional law. These are just a few of his good qualities.
  • Ron Paul brings new meaning to the term "RINO" and that's stretching it. He is an isolationist who also holds many protectionist beliefs. In today's global economy and with the constant threat of radical islamist terrorism, this makes Ron Paul's primary world view deadly to the United States and the free world. Fairy tale idealists respond to isolationism on paper, but any attempts at leading the USA from this posture since our inception have failed utterly. Ron Paul's band of merry misfits could conceivably steal some thunder from the real GOP nominee. Finally, Ron Paul should know better as an M.D. to take a wide open stance on legalization of most illicit drugs. This basically identifies him as a quack. His license to practice medicine should be revoked.
Now let's take a look at Newt Gingrich-

  • Of the four remaining candidates, Newt Gingrich far and away has the most bi-partisan political experience. Newt Gingrich is the most intelligent of the bunch by at least 50 IQ points (this is evidenced by his unusually large head which surely holds a very big brain). Newt is well studied in history and his ideas demonstrate that he understands how to learn from our mistakes and capitalize on our achievements. Newt Gingrich has no problem standing up to the MSM and anyone else who tries to derail him, a political ally or even at times a political opponent from the issue at hand. Speaker Gingrich ushered in a dominant era of a conservative majority in the House Of Representatives that had been controlled by liberals for decades. His role in co-authoring The Contract With America which ushered in many legislative achievements such as The Welfare Reform Act, was a crowning achievement in completely re-vamping the "Great Society" which had backfired by creating chronic unemployment, ghettos, and a debilitating dependence on the Federal government for the needy. He will go down in history as one of the greatest Speakers of The House Of Representatives to ever serve.

  • Whoopsie Daisy! Newt stumbled out of the gate by alienating the GOP base, making the pundits fume - Charles Krauthammer crapped himself each night running Newt down. Most of his campaign staff immediately jumped ship. Newt then lazily traveled around the U.S. as if on some sort of extended vacation. Newt admittedly has had a checkered past with regards to fidelity or lack thereof. Speaker Gingrich's "out of the box" thinking and wealth of ideas can sometimes make him appear to be a man suffering from political ADHD on steroids.
Rick Santorum -

  • Rick Santorum is the most sincere and genuine of the remaining four. He is clearly a man of faith and conviction who takes his beliefs very seriously. Senator Santorum is far and away the most socially conservative of the candidates. He has the greatest legislative experience and the longest continual run as a "career" politician. Rick Santorum understands islamic fascism. He coined the term. He knows how to equip our military and allies with what it takes to fight and defeat the war on terror.

  • Santorum loses points for not being able to make this photo disappear forever. The Senator has a track record of spending which scares the crap out of most voters with a lick of sense. Santorum has been doing a lot of whining lately and if there is one thing voters don't want anymore of is another Crybaby-In-Chief. Rick Santorum is a Catholic and according to his religion, he must follow the edicts of the Roman Catholic Church. Santorum has become the most divisive of the group, choosing to attack Romney instead of BHO.

And finally we have Mitt Romney.

No pros and cons here. As I stated in the beginning of the post, this is clarion call. Mitt Romney will win the nomination. 24 hours from now the other three MUST step down and throw their complete support behind Mitt Romney so that BHO can be defeated convincingly. In addition, a show of solidarity this early will help conservatives to maintain control of the House, win back the Senate, win more local seats and of course send a clear and defined message that liberal judges will not be tolerated legislating from the bench.

There is MUCH more at stake than the presidential election, folks. We all know that. Now we need to step up, take a stand, unite, and defeat BHO.

Gentle On My Mind - Mind Boggling Flatpicking

A great live version beautifully displaying Glen's impeccable and oft underrated flatpicking. Watch out for that solo! He could fly with the best of them. He's making that sound with ONE PICK folks. Any seasoned guitarist or casual fan should be duly impressed with this performance. I could watch it a hundred times. One of our favorites. Enjoy!

For Conspicuous Gallantry And Intrepidity At The Risk Of Life Above And Beyond The Call Of Duty - Colonel Barfoot Or Taylor Swift?

CITATION

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty on 23 May 1944, near Carano, Italy. With his platoon heavily engaged during an assault against forces well entrenched on commanding ground, 2d Lt. Barfoot (then Tech. Sgt.) moved off alone upon the enemy left flank. He crawled to the proximity of 1 machinegun nest and made a direct hit on it with a hand grenade, killing 2 and wounding 3 Germans. He continued along the German defense line to another machinegun emplacement, and with his tommygun killed 2 and captured 3 soldiers. Members of another enemy machinegun crew then abandoned their position and gave themselves up to Sgt. Barfoot. Leaving the prisoners for his support squad to pick up, he proceeded to mop up positions in the immediate area, capturing more prisoners and bringing his total count to 17. Later that day, after he had reorganized his men and consolidated the newly captured ground, the enemy launched a fierce armored counterattack directly at his platoon positions. Securing a bazooka, Sgt. Barfoot took up an exposed position directly in front of 3 advancing Mark VI tanks. From a distance of 75 yards his first shot destroyed the track of the leading tank, effectively disabling it, while the other 2 changed direction toward the flank. As the crew of the disabled tank dismounted, Sgt. Barfoot killed 3 of them with his tommygun. He continued onward into enemy terrain and destroyed a recently abandoned German fieldpiece with a demolition charge placed in the breech. While returning to his platoon position, Sgt. Barfoot, though greatly fatigued by his Herculean efforts, assisted 2 of his seriously wounded men 1,700 yards to a position of safety. Sgt. Barfoot's extraordinary heroism, demonstration of magnificent valor, and aggressive determination in the face of pointblank fire are a perpetual inspiration to his fellow soldiers.

Retired Army Col. Van Thomas Barfoot passed away on March 3rd, 2012 after injuries suffered from a fall. He was 92. After Barfoot fought in World War II and was awarded the Congressional Medal Of Honor,he went on to fight in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Army as a "full bird" Colonel after earning The Silver Star, The Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts.

Colonel Barfoot was one of the last living WWII Medal Of Honor Recipients and one of the most decorated soldiers to see combat in three wars.

His last fight was with his homeowners association in 2009 after they ruled that he could not fly the American Flag from a 21-foot flagpole on his own property. Like all of his other battles, he eventually won that fight, too.

We now return you to around the clock coverage of the bikini Taylor Swift wore in Australia.

Our Country's Misplaced Values

While scanning the internet headlines tonight, I see that the hot topic is the bikini that Taylor Swift was wearing in Australia. Excuse me for stating the obvious, but that is one of the things that is wrong with our country. Who cares what Miss Swift is wearing? Or who she's dating?

Yes, she's a talented entertainer. No doubt about that.

Meanwhile, as girls starve themselves to look like her, and young men lust after her bikini clad body, we're on the eve of the most important Super Tuesday in recent political history, tensions are ratcheting up between Iran and Israel, and one of the most highly decorated heroes of WWII has passed away.

But never mind all that. Gotta know what Taylor Swift's near naked body looks like. Good job, America. For the REAL headline, see the story above.

No One Can Do Everything, But Everyone Can Do Something

As I was reading about the devastation of the recent outbreak of killer tornadoes that tore through the midwest and southeast portions of the USA, with some of the very same towns that were destroyed last year being flattened all over again, I couldn't help but wonder what more we could be doing as a nation to help alleviate the misery these people must be experiencing.

Then today, while reading Max Lucado's recent book "Max On Life," I came across some very insightful statistics that challenged my thought process even further.

Max has collected questions from his years in the ministry of Christ's church throughout the years and answers some of the most thought provoking ones.

In this instance, the person asks the following question:

"Can God use His followers today as He did His first followers? I keep hearing this is what should make us stand out from non-Christians, but I don't think we even begin to compare to those early believers. Why not?"

Max's reply:

"Ours is the wealthiest generation of Christians ever. We are bright, educated, and experienced. We can travel around the world in twenty-four hours or send a message in a millisecond. We have the most sophisticated research and medicines at the tips of our fingers. We have ample resources. A mere 2 percent of the world's grain harvest would be enough, if shared, to erase the problems of hunger and malnutrition in the world. There is enough food on the planet to offer every person twenty-five hundred calories of sustenance a day. We have enough food to feed the hungry.

And we have enough bedrooms to house the orphans. Here's the math. There are 145 million orphans worldwide. Nearly 236 million people in the United States call themselves Christians. From a purely statistical standpoint, American Christians by themselves have the wherewithal to house every orphan in the world.

I don't mean to oversimplify these terribly complicated issues. We can't just snap our fingers and expect the grain to flow across borders or governments to permit foreign adoptions. Policies stalemate the best of efforts. International relations are strained. Corrupt officials snag the systems. I get that.

But this much is clear: the storehouse is stocked. The problem is not in the supply; the problem is in the distribution. God has given this generation, our generation, everything we need to alter the course of human suffering.

The problem is not information; the problem is dissemination. We have a complete Bible with all the scripture needed to teach the world and the means to distribute that message verbally, electronically, and in 3-D.

Change needs to begin with Christians today-just as it started two thousand years ago with the transformation of the apostles, who gave up everything to take the Gospel everywhere.

We can be two thousand times more effective, if we only try."

Now that's what I call food for thought. If these few paragraphs stirred you, why not pass this message along to all you know who are Christians and especially to all you know who aren't. We need to hold ourselves accountable in every way as stewards of the lost in our world. Jesus didn't suggest it. He didn't request it. He commanded it!

Choose You This Day Who You Will Serve!

Who do you suppose Barack Hussein Obama serves? Do you believe that he serves the one true God? Think about it for a second. Any of the four GOP candidates is serving God, there is no doubt about that.

In my Holy Bible James said "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways!"

Is BHO serving God? Certainly NOT! His stance on infanticide clearly expresses his beliefs. Let's unite as people of God to defeat the worst President in U.S. history and reverse the most devastating political choice this country has ever made.

Let's make the right choice.

FIRST FOR GOD!

Then for a godly leader.

I Guess This Is How Dimwits Get Mauled

It's all fun and games until a hiker gets their face ripped off and a bear gets shot for being a bear.
